Here is a recent trip report from Blue Bay Resort. Note the difference between Blue Bay Club and Blue Bay Resort.

Jerry and De G.,

A few questions about your trip:

> Resort: Blue Bay Getaway, Cancun, Mexico

You were at Blue Bay Getaway and not at Blue Bay Club, correct? Do you know if this is the same location formerly called Blue Bay Village? Where in the Hotel Zone is it located? How far west or south from the "corner" of the "7" that forms the Hotel Zone?

Their web page states "Complimentary transportation shuttle bus between the two Blue Bay Hotels in Cancun"; is the second hotel Blue Bay Club (which is actually in Punta Sam)? Or is there a third hotel? Do they allow children from Blue Bay Club to visit Blue Bay Getaway?

> The beach, like the pool is topless for the ladies.

Technically illegal in Mexico, but it isn't enforced, especially in the tourist zones. Note: all beaches in Mexico are public.

What kinds of sports facilities did they have, how good was the equipment, and how many people participated? Basketball, volleyball, tennis, snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, aerobics, weight room, etc?

What were the demograpics? Age range? Singles compared to couples? Quiet vs party crowd? Families with age 16+ children? Dressy or casual crowd?

Did they offer excursions, and did you go on any?

What mechanism is used for seating at meals? Is it "seat yourself", is it "hosted seating" (with other people), or "sit by yourself"? Group tables or tables for two? (People who go to Club Med will understand these questions.) Is the dining room airconditioned?

What drinks, liquiors, were included? How top shelf was their top shelf? What was their best vodka, gin, rum? Beers? Wine? Where other (better) liquiors available (but not included)? Was bottled water included?
